Product sorting

Product sorting controls the display order of trading products under the same market in Finger Trader.

Backend administrators can move listed products up, move them down, or reorder them in Finger Manager. After the adjustment is saved, Finger Trader displays products according to the latest order in Manager.

The core logic is: the order in Manager is the order in Finger Trader. This process does not require publishing a new app version and does not change the product's ticker, quote source, trading parameters, or order rules.

يتحكم ترتيب المنتجات في ترتيب العرض داخل التطبيق. يؤدي نقل المنتج في Manager إلى تحديث ترتيب القائمة في التطبيق.

01 Open product sorting

Go to Market & Product Management > Product Sorting, then select the market to manage.

The page shows the configured product list under that market. For example, the Forex market may include NZD/USD, GBP/USD, EUR/USD, AUD/USD, and USD/JPY.

The current order of the list represents the default display order of that market in Finger Trader.

02 Adjust product order

Administrators can move products up, move them down, or use other sorting controls to adjust product positions.

For example, if the current order is NZD/USD, GBP/USD, EUR/USD, AUD/USD, and USD/JPY, moving EUR/USD to the first position changes the order to EUR/USD, NZD/USD, GBP/USD, AUD/USD, and USD/JPY.

After saving, the Forex product list in Finger Trader follows the same order.

03 Synchronize to Finger Trader

After product sorting is updated, the system synchronizes the latest order to Finger Trader.

The process can be understood as: Manager adjusts product order, saves the latest sorting configuration, updates product display priority, Finger Trader gets the latest product list, and the client reorders products according to Manager.

This allows institutions to control product positions in the client directly from the backend.

04 Sorting is market-scoped

Product sorting is usually managed inside a single market.

Stocks, Forex, Commodities, and Digital Assets can each have their own sorting order.

Changing the order of Forex products does not affect Stocks or other markets. Different markets can maintain independent product display logic.

05 Relationship with listing and delisting

Product sorting only determines the display order of products that are already visible.

Product listing and delisting determines whether a product appears in Finger Trader.

For example, if the Forex market has EUR/USD, GBP/USD, USD/JPY, and AUD/USD listed, the administrator can reorder those four products. If GBP/USD is delisted, it no longer appears in the client, while the remaining products continue to display according to the current sorting configuration.

Listing controls whether a product is displayed. Sorting controls which visible product appears first.

06 Sorting does not change product configuration

Changing product order does not modify the business parameters of the product itself.

Sorting does not affect ticker, Trading Desk, quote source, Bid / Ask, price precision, minimum trading unit, trading hours, trading rules, customer positions, or historical orders.

It only affects the display position of products in the Finger Trader product list.

07 Product display priority

Institutions can decide product order according to their own business needs.

For example, main trading products, popular products, core market products, newly listed products, or currently promoted products can be placed higher in the list.

Products with lower usage frequency or lower business priority can be placed later. This lets the institution adjust the client market page according to product strategy without changing Finger Trader front-end code.

08 Different institutions can have different orders

Product sorting is based on each institution's own configuration.

Even if two institutions provide the same Forex products, the order in Finger Trader can be completely different.

For example, Institution A may show EUR/USD, GBP/USD, USD/JPY, and AUD/USD, while Institution B may show USD/JPY, EUR/USD, AUD/USD, and GBP/USD.

Finger Trader reads the corresponding product order according to the institution that the current customer belongs to.

09 Front-end effect after sorting changes

After sorting is completed, the client updates the product list according to the latest configuration.

For example, if USD/JPY is moved from fifth position to first position in Manager, it also appears at the top of the Forex list in Finger Trader.

The product content itself does not change. Only the display position changes. If the client has already opened the related page, the exact update timing depends on the client refresh mechanism.

10 Sorting permission

Product sorting is a product display management permission.

It is recommended to grant it to institution administrators, product administrators, operations owners, and backend roles with the appropriate product configuration permissions.

Customer service users or backend roles without product management responsibilities usually do not need product sorting permission.

The actual operation capability is controlled by Finger Manager role and permission configuration.

Product sorting can be understood simply: the product ranked first in Manager appears first in Finger Trader, and the product ranked second appears second.

The backend is adjusting product display priority, not product trading logic. Institutions can use product sorting to place key products, common products, or current business-priority products earlier in the client market page.

Product sorting controls order. Product listing controls visibility.

  1. The operator opens the product list under the selected market and counter.

Manager shows the current product order.
  2. The operator moves GBP/USD above NZD/USD.

The app immediately reflects the new order.
  3. The operator moves EUR/USD below AUD/USD.

Users see the updated market list in the app.
