Scheduled Publishing

Scheduled Publishing lets operations staff prepare notification content in advance, set a future publishing time, and let Finger Manager publish it automatically at the configured time.

This capability applies to operational content with a clear publishing time requirement, including popups, announcements, marquees, In-App Notifications, Push Notifications, and related notification channels.

With scheduled publishing, operations staff do not need to manually publish again at the actual release time. They can prepare content, target users, and display rules in advance, then let the system trigger the task on schedule. This reduces manual workload and helps ensure that notifications are released at the correct time.

Set scheduled publishing in Finger Manager

Finger Manager supports selecting Scheduled Publishing when creating a notification.

Operations staff can first configure notification content, target users, display rules, and tap-through logic, then set the exact publishing date and time.

After saving, the notification enters a scheduled state.

When system time reaches the configured time, Finger Manager automatically executes the publishing workflow and synchronizes the content to the corresponding Finger Trader App notification channel.

01 Select scheduled publishing

When creating a notification, operations staff can choose immediate publishing or scheduled publishing.

After selecting scheduled publishing, a specific publishing time must be provided.

For example, publish time: 2026-08-28 09:00.

Before that time arrives, the notification will not be formally displayed to users.

02 Configure notification content

Scheduled publishing does not change how notification content is configured.

Operations staff still configure the fields required by the selected notification type, including title, body, image, target users, display position, tap-through URL, display rules, notification channel, effective time, and end time.

After content configuration is complete, a future publishing time can be set.

03 Set publish time

Operations staff can specify the exact date and time for notification publishing.

Common use cases include 10 minutes before market opening, IPO subscription start time, new product launch time, campaign start time, holiday reminders, before system maintenance begins, or a unified release time for important announcements.

The system publishes automatically according to the time set in the backend.

This helps avoid missed publishing windows caused by time zones, night-time operations, or temporary manual interruptions.

04 Keep pending state before publishing

After scheduled configuration is complete, the notification enters Scheduled or pending publishing status.

Before the formal publishing time arrives, operations staff can still view, preview, edit content, change publishing time, adjust target users, cancel the scheduled publishing task, or delete the task, subject to permissions and system rules.

This allows the operations team to prepare content early while keeping room for final adjustments before release.

05 Auto-publish when time arrives

When system time reaches the scheduled publish time, Finger Manager automatically executes the corresponding publishing task.

Depending on notification type, the system may display a popup in the App, publish an announcement, start a marquee, generate an In-App Notification, send a Push Notification, trigger Email, or trigger SMS.

The whole process does not require operations staff to log in again and click publish manually.

Scheduled publish time versus display time

Scheduled publish time and display time are different concepts.

Scheduled publish time determines when the content is formally published. For example, publish at 09:00.

Display start and end time determine how long the content is allowed to remain visible after publishing. For example, display from 09:00 to 18:00.

A notification can be configured at 08:00, automatically published at 09:00, displayed in the App from 09:00 to 18:00, and automatically stopped at 18:00.

Using both time dimensions provides more precise operational control.

Scheduled publishing versus scheduled sending

For different notification types, the system execution logic can vary.

For App display content such as popups, login popups, marquees, home banners, and announcements, a scheduled task mainly controls when the content formally enters published status.

For proactive sending content such as Push Notification, SMS, Email, and in-app messages, a scheduled task mainly controls when the message is actually sent to target users.

Although the frontend behavior differs, operations staff can manage both patterns through a unified scheduling mechanism in Finger Manager.

Multi-channel scheduled sending

If one notification uses multiple reach channels, such as In-App Notification plus Push plus SMS plus Email, the same business notification can use one scheduled send time.

When the time arrives, the system executes each configured channel.

For example, at 09:00 the App creates an in-app message, Push Notification sends a system push, the SMS service sends a text message, and the Email service sends an email.

This helps ensure multiple channels complete delivery within the same time window.

Time zone management

For cross-country and cross-market operations, scheduled tasks need a clear time basis.

Finger Manager can use a specified time zone for scheduled task management according to the institution's system configuration or business rules.

Examples include Japan time JST, Hong Kong time HKT, US Eastern Time ET, or UTC.

For opening, closing, or campaign times in different markets, tasks should be configured according to the corresponding business time zone to avoid publishing errors caused by time conversion.

Typical use cases

Market opening reminders: configure reminders in advance, such as sending a notice 10 minutes before US market opening, and the system automatically sends it to relevant market users.

IPO or new product launch: the operations team can prepare content one day or earlier, then automatically publish IPO banners, announcements, marquees, and Push Notifications at the launch time.

System maintenance notices: publish a formal announcement 24 hours before maintenance, send a Push Notification one hour before maintenance, and display a marquee 10 minutes before maintenance.

Holiday trading arrangements: pre-create notification tasks for known market holidays so the system automatically publishes trading-hour adjustment notices to relevant market users.

Cross-time-zone operations: even if the required publishing time is overnight for the operations team, tasks can be prepared in advance and executed automatically by the system.

Scheduled task management

Finger Manager can provide unified management for planned notifications.

Operations staff can view pending tasks, publishing time, notification type, target users, current status, published tasks, cancelled tasks, and execution results.

Common states include Scheduled, Published or Sent, Cancelled, and Failed.

Scheduled means waiting for execution. Published or Sent means publishing or sending is complete. Cancelled means the task has been cancelled. Failed means the task did not execute successfully and needs further handling.

Through status management, operations teams can quickly confirm the execution status of each planned task.

Manager and App workflow

In Finger Manager, operations staff create the notification, set content, set target users, select scheduled publishing, set the publishing date and time, save the task, and the task enters Scheduled status.

The system scheduler continuously checks pending tasks. When the configured publishing time arrives, it automatically executes publishing.

Finger Trader App or the corresponding notification channel receives the published content, displays or sends it according to notification type, and the user can view the notification.

The entire process is completed automatically by the system.

Note: Scheduled Publishing is an automation and scheduling capability within the Finger Manager notification system.

Institutions can create and review operational content in advance, specify a future publishing time, and let the system automatically execute publishing or sending tasks.

Combined with target users, display periods, multi-channel notification, and time-zone management, Scheduled Publishing helps institutions build more stable and planned operational workflows, especially for market opening, product launch, system maintenance, holiday arrangements, and cross-time-zone operations.

  1. The operator sets the popup to publish at a specific time instead of immediately.

The notification waits in the scheduled queue.
  2. When the app-side time reaches the configured moment, the notification becomes active.

The app prepares to display the popup.
  3. The popup appears automatically without requiring the user to refresh or update the app.

Scheduled operations can be prepared before the campaign starts.
