01 Complete product configuration before listing

A product should enter the formal listing workflow only after the required configuration is complete.

Before listing, administrators should confirm that the corresponding Trading Desk has been created, the correct ticker is bound, the product profile is complete, name and icon are correct, the market is correct, quote source has been configured, real-time quotes work, trading parameters are set, and product status is normal.

Product listing is one of the final stages in the product configuration workflow. The recommended sequence is: create Trading Desk, bind product, configure profile, configure quotes, configure trading parameters, check product, then list formally.

02 Select the product to list

After entering Market & Product Management > Product Listing, administrators can view configured products by market.

For example, under Forex, the list may include NZD/USD, GBP/USD, EUR/USD, AUD/USD, and USD/JPY.

The product list shows basic product information and current status. Administrators can list or delist each product independently.

03 List a product

After an administrator clicks List for a product, Finger Manager updates the product publication status and synchronizes the new state to Finger Trader.

The process can be understood as: Manager clicks List, product status changes to Listed, the system synchronizes the latest product configuration, Finger Trader gets the latest product list, and the product appears in the corresponding market.

For example, after the administrator lists JPY/USD in the Forex market, JPY/USD becomes visible in the Forex page of Finger Trader.

04 Delist a product

If the institution no longer wants to show a product to customers, the administrator can delist it.

After delisting, the system updates the product status and synchronizes the latest available product list to Finger Trader. The client then hides the product.

The complete process is: Manager clicks Delist, product status changes to Delisted, the system synchronizes the latest configuration, and Finger Trader hides the product.

Delisting does not automatically delete the product's base configuration in Manager. Administrators can still update the product profile, quote configuration, or other parameters and list it again when needed.

05 Difference between delisting and deleting

Delisting and deleting are completely different operations.

Delisting means temporarily stopping the product from being displayed to customers in Finger Trader. The Trading Desk, ticker, product profile, quote configuration, trading parameters, historical orders, and other backend configuration remain available and the product can be listed again later.

Deleting means removing related configuration from the backend product system. For products already used in live business or products with historical orders or other business data, deletion is generally not recommended.

If the institution only wants to temporarily hide a product from customers, Delist should be used first.

06 Difference between market switch and product listing

Market management and product listing belong to two different configuration levels.

Market management controls whether an entire market category is open to customers. For example, if the Forex market is disabled, the entire Forex category will not appear in Finger Trader.

Product listing controls whether a specific ticker inside an enabled market is displayed. For example, Forex can remain enabled while EUR/USD and JPY/USD are listed and NZD/USD is delisted.

Market management controls whether the market exists. Product listing controls which products exist inside that market.

07 Finger Trader synchronizes automatically

Product listing state is managed centrally by Finger Manager.

Administrators do not need to modify Finger Trader client code or submit a new App Store or Google Play version just to add or remove one ticker.

Finger Trader retrieves the latest available product list according to the institution's current product configuration. This allows institutions to continuously adjust new products, paused products, restored products, and product combinations across different markets from Manager.

08 Different institutions can have different product lists

Product listing state is based on each institution's own configuration.

For example, Institution A's Forex market may list EUR/USD, GBP/USD, and JPY/USD, while Institution B's Forex market may list EUR/USD, AUD/USD, and NZD/USD.

Even when two institutions use Finger Trader, their customers may see different product lists. Finger Trader loads market and product configuration according to the institution that the customer belongs to.

09 Check current business state before delisting

If a product is already used in live trading, administrators should check whether related business is still active before delisting.

This may include current customer positions, pending orders, open orders, unsettled trades, automated trading tasks, or other business dependencies related to that ticker.

Hiding a product from the front end does not mean historical trades or existing positions disappear automatically. For products with existing positions or unfinished orders, the institution should decide how to handle them according to its own trading rules before delisting.

10 Delisting does not delete historical data

After a product is delisted, historical business records related to that product remain stored.

Examples include historical orders, filled-trade records, customer position history, operation logs, trading statistics, and risk analysis data.

Delisting mainly changes current client-side product visibility. It does not delete data generated in the past.

11 List again

A delisted product can be listed again if the institution later needs to provide it.

Before relisting, administrators should confirm that quote data is normal, product parameters are still valid, trading hours have not changed unexpectedly, quote source is working, and the product still fits the institution's business scope.

After confirmation, relisting allows Finger Trader to display the product again.

12 Permission control

Product listing and delisting is an important product management permission.

It is recommended to grant this permission only to institution administrators, product administrators, trading or business owners, and backend roles with appropriate authorization.

Customer service or other roles without product management responsibilities generally do not need listing or delisting permissions.

Finger Manager uses the current account's role and permission settings to control whether the operation is allowed.
